Arrival/Dismissal
At Novi Meadows we expect students to arrive before 7:30 a.m., and we dismiss at 2:22 p.m.
Students either ride the bus, get dropped-off or picked-up by a parent or guardian, walk to and from school, or use before or after-school CARE. Please read the relevant information expectations depending on your student's category. Students are welcome to enter the building after 7:15 a.m.
Bus
- Students riding the bus will be dropped off in the bus loop.
- At dismissal students exit by bus letter and find their bus in the bus loop.
- If you need additional information, please contact our Transportation Department at 248-449-1245.
Drop-off/ Pick-Up
There is no left turn when exiting campus during arrival and dismissal.
- Student pick up and drop off is along the north side of the building. Parents should drop students along the curb and pull all the way forward to allow the maximum number of parents to let students out at the same time. Please, wait in the line of cars to drop students off along the cones.
- DO NOT drop students off in the parking lot area. Please, DO NOT cut down the aisles. This creates unsafe situations for students as well as other drivers.
- We know that drop off and pick up times can be hectic. Please do everything you can to ensure the safety of everyone involved.
- Parents will not be allowed to wait in the bus lane or ESB parking lot to pick up or drop off students.
- Please be patient.
Walkers
The Novi Community School District policy states that if you reside within walking distance of the school your child attends, then your child is expected to walk. One mile or under is considered the "walk zone" for elementary schools.
CARE
Care is located in the cafeteria. Parents can access this after school at the parent pick up doors in the back of the building.
CARE services are provided by our Community Education Department. The care room phone number is 248-449-1257.
Students must be picked-up by 6:00 p.m. For more information please call 248-675-3425.
