Novi Meadows students have the opportunity to participate in a number of activities (referred to as "clubs") outside of the school day. Participation in one or more of these clubs allows students to interact while learning. 24-25 School year club information coming soon.

Books, Podcasting, and Student News

Attention Readers! Join Novi Meadows Books, Podcasting & News Team Club. Activities include reading, podcast basics and creating a school newsletter for kids. Students do not need to attend all sessions to participate.

Choir Club

Intramurals

Our Novi Meadows intramural sports program is designed to promote physical fitness, social interaction, and sportsmanship among our students. Students come together to compete, have fun, and build community in a structured environment. Our program offers a wide range of sports and activities and we welcome all skill levels.

Intramurals are held on one Monday per month for each grade level in the Novi Meadows gymnasium. Please check the schedule for the grade level, date and activity.

We do not have a sign-up for intramurals. They are considered “drop-in”. We only ask that students inform parents beforehand that they will be staying after school. Students should wear appropriate gym shoes.

Intramural Schedule

In the event that intramurals need to be canceled due to unforeseen circumstances, the students will be notified by a P.A. announcement during school hours and the students will be allowed to call from the office and notify a parent.

Parents will pick up their child at the rear entrance to the school at 3:30.

Invention Convention

Are you curious about inventing things and solving real-world problems? Do you think someone may want to invest in your inventions someday? If so, then the Invention Convention competition club is for you! This competition of original inventions and ideas progresses through local, regional, state, national and international competitions! Will you be the next inventor being honored at the Henry Ford Museum of Innovation? This club will teach you the steps of design thinking, marketing your idea, and how to potentially sell your ideas.

All are welcome! This club is not limited.

Leadership Club

LEADERSHIP CLUB IS CURRENTLY FULL!!

Learn about what leadership is and what it looks like at Novi Meadows. Activities include, but are not limited to: recycling at our school, volunteering at the preschool, advertising or planning for school events, brainstorming ideas for school improvement, and many other leadership opportunities that come our way!

Orchestra Club

What is Orchestra Club and who can join: Orchestra Club is an after school club for advanced and motivated orchestra students. This club is targeted at 5th and 6th grade orchestra students that have 1 or more years of private lesson experience or 6th grade orchestra students who are highly motivated, practicing regularly and are looking for an extra challenge. Students must audition for Ms. Rais to be accepted into the club. Contact Ms. Rais for more information.

Meetings: Once a week from 2:20-3:30 pm on Tuesdays after school. Orchestra Club will meet in the orchestra room. Students will need to arrange for a ride home. Students will need to be picked up at the parent-pickup location (back of school by the playground). It is important for parents to be punctual for the pickup time.

Purpose/ Activities: To provide an opportunity for advanced students to play more challenging music, learn skills associated with playing in a chamber ensemble. To make new friends with similar interests and experience. The orchestra club will have small performances throughout the school year.

Photography Club

Here's a chance to explore your photography skills. Each of the three sessions will go over composition techniques to bring out your artistic camera skills. Please bring your Chromebook, phone, or camera. We meet in room 46 from 2:25- 3:25 pm. Pickup is at the front doors.

Maker Space Club

Calling all Makers! Join Novi Meadows Maker Space club for a chance to explore the many resources our Novi Meadows Maker Space has to offer. Activities include, but are not limited to, 3-D printing, green screen recording, and stop motion video production. Bring your creative ideas and get ready to think outside the box!

Note due to materials/space constraints there is a limited number of spots available. They are on a 1st come, 1st serve basis. There are two sessions to allow as many students as I can to join.
